A benefit for the Frankie Lemmon School for special-needs children in Raleigh, the National Truffle Festival happens at Asheville's Grand Bohemian Hotel this year. It's three days of enlightenment about regional cultivating and, of course, enjoying this pinnacle of high-end delicacies. Tastings take place at the Grand Bohemian and at other nearby restaurants, led by the Bohemian's Chef Adam Hayes. For the first year, supremely prized Italian white truffles will make an appearance at the event. See the website for ticket options, including lodging.
