Fireside Antiques, Fireside Interiors and Fireside Market represent 40 years of family business. Ron Clemmer and Robert S. Griffin, architect, established the Biltmore location in 1979. Fireside Antiques is Asheville’s premier importer of English, Scottish and Irish antiques and Oriental porcelain. In addition to Japanese Imari, Chinese export and English ironstone, a fine selection of tea caddies, lap desks, English, Georgian, and Edwardian furniture and exceptional accessories are featured in the galleries. Joe Kimmel has begun selling items from his wide-ranging art collection, sharing for the first time with discriminating buyers a classic assemblage of decorative art and design, unique originals, collectibles, Americana and retro reproductions. Kimmel’s collection includes American, European and Scandinavian fine art and design, including late 19th century and early 20th century examples of Art Nouveau and Art Deco.
